Hey everyone!
We're excited to bring you a fresh update for our Mushroom Piercings! Based on your feedback, we've added something many of you have been asking for: the freedom to choose how your piercing renders in-world.
What's new?
Up until now, Mushroom Piercings used Second Life's PBR (Physically Based Rendering) materials to give you that beautiful, realistic metallic shine. It looks amazing — but PBR isn't always the perfect fit for every viewer, every setup, or every photo. Some residents prefer the classic look, some still use viewers with limited PBR support, and others simply like to switch between styles depending on the mood of their outfit.
So now you don't have to choose just one. With this update, your HUD includes two simple new buttons:
- PBR ON — switches your piercing to full PBR rendering, with realistic shine and depth.
- PBR OFF — switches to a classic, non-PBR finish, optimized to look great on any viewer.
How it works
Switching is instant — just tap the button on your HUD and your piercing updates in real time. No need to reselect your texture, no waiting, no fuss. Whichever color or finish you had on, it simply switches style right in front of you.
This means you finally get the best of both worlds: the stunning realism of PBR when you want it, and a clean, reliable non-PBR look when you need it. One piercing, two ways to wear it.

Already own this product? Here's how to get the update
If you purchased Mushroom Piercings before this update, you don't need to buy it again — you just need to redeliver it to get the latest version.
1. Purchased on the Second Life Marketplace Go to your Second Life Marketplace account, open "My Account" → "Order History" (or visit the listing page for the item), find your Mushroom Piercings purchase, and select the Redeliver option. The updated item will be sent straight to your in-world inbox.
2. Purchased in-world at one of our stores Visit our main store at nOd~Stores: 📍 Horizons Ariel (61, 149, 23)
Once there, simply touch the Redelivery Terminal and follow the instructions to receive the updated version of your product.
